What it is

Recovery focused support for youth and adults living with serious mental illness, built around real life skills and community.

Keeping Hopes Alive began as a grassroots Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and grew into a licensed, accredited outpatient mental health center. PRP is still at the heart of the work.

PRP is a recovery oriented service for people managing severe or persistent mental illness. Staff work with each person on the skills that make daily life more stable: informed decision making, anger management, medication and illness management, coping skills, healthy relationships and self care.

For adults, PRP is steady, practical support for rebuilding routines after a hospitalization, a crisis, grief or trauma. More than 100 people have received rehabilitation and recovery support through KHA.

For youth, PRP connects to mentorship and positive experiences. Our Summer RISE 2026 program paired mental health support with career exposure in construction, barbering, printing, digital media and more. The guiding idea is prevention through exposure.

Together we pick the life skills to work on and set goals you can measure.

  3. Skills in the community

Sessions happen at the clinic and in real settings, so new skills get practiced where they matter.
